In my art, I am drawn to nature, especially trees and the seasons. I love the fact that the seasons and trees are ever changing. Depicted alone or in a landscapes, trees are authentic in themselves. They are present in the moment of their lives; growth, renewal, decay and death. Just like the seasons of nature in tress, I too have a need to continue to grow. In that growth I find an unspoken strength, courage, and resilience in the present moments of my life. Encaustic art presently allows me this growth; always finding new paths, new ideas, new directions. It is my peaceful place.
