Landscape Paintings
This diptych is one of two paintings (Tranquil Winter I & Tranquil Winter II ) that can be purchased together to separately. It was created at a wonderful encaustic workshop in Basel, Switzerland. It is a photo encaustic. A photo is printed on a thin paper, it is then embedded into the warm beeswax and resin surface. This photo was taken on a cold January day (-20) in St. Paul, MN from the bluffs above the Mississippi River. Colored pigments, textures and various other mediums were used to enhance the image.
Again, this can be sold separately or as a set with Tranquil Winter II.
